Prayer Pockets
Two talented knitters in our congregation makes squares to be blessed and presented to people in need of hope and prayer.
The Pumpkin Mission
Pumpkin seeds are planted on the church grounds and harvested in the fall and supplemented with pumpkins from local growers. Volunteers carve jack-o-lanterns from the pumpkins along with candy and an inspirational message are delivered to shut ins and older members of the community. The delivery is usually accompanied by a visit.
Choir Mission
The choir accompanies the pastor and provides music for worship services at local residential care facilities.
Local School Mission
The congregation provides funding to our local school teachers to assist in purchasing supplies not covered by the school budget. We also provide space for testing purposes and emergency evacuations. In the past we opened our sanctuary for the school musical while the school auditorium was under construction. Prior to the pandemic, we housed the school's summer CROP program while the school was under construction.
Presbyterian Missions
Our congregation also supports...
One Great Hour of Sharing on World Communion Sunday, which provides relief to those affected by natural disasters, provides food for the hungry, and empowers the poor and oppressed through self-development programs.
Christmas Joy Offering on the fourth Sunday of Advent, which provides financial assistance to current and former church workers and their families and also enables deserving students to attend Presbyterian-related racial ethnic colleges and schools.
The Pentecost Offering on Pentecost Sunday, which helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people and also addresses the needs of at-risk children. A large portion of this offering stays within our congregation to support our children and young adult ministries.
